Unique puzzle pieces
The puzzle is the same as the description. It has different kind of bird and tree shapes instead of only regular puzzle pieces. I spent 6 hours to complete this puzzle. I would definitely get more puzzles like this to kill my time.Weiterlesen

Really terrific imported wooden puzzle
Die Medien konnten nicht geladen werden. I have worked over 100 wooden puzzles in the past few years. My gold standard would be Liberty Puzzles for their quality, consistency, art, and amazing puzzle cuts and whimsies…and made in America. I love their puzzles, but my budget doesn’t allow me to buy 1 a week, and that’s about how many wooden puzzles I have worked since covid rocked the world. One thing to note now that I am a couple of years into the “great cheap imported wooden puzzle journey”: most are cheap because they are junk…bad “art”, bad wood/printing/cutting quality, don’t interlock, etc. I am returning to Liberty Puzzles, and the other fine wooden puzzle brands. Because they hold (or increase their value). I have sold my good puzzles after working them for about what I paid. I would rather work a fine puzzle that is a delight to the senses, savor it a while and then sell it, than to continue wasting time and money on junkie imports. The import puzzles have little value for resale. That said, It’s funny that THIS great imported puzzle was the last one I ordered, and it turned out to be great…not Liberty great, but great for the $60 price. And it has renewed hope that there ARE good, budget friendly imported wood puzzles on the horizon. I LOVE the peacock art. She is so cute. There is a good, clear poster inside that shows both the peacock image and the line art for the puzzle cuts. I would rate this is a difficulty level of 2 out of 5. It was very relaxing to work, and I made myself go slow and savor the puzzle. The wood was cut perfect, and there are some VERY intricate cuts in the puzzle. LOTS of relevant, well executed whimsies, and my favorite—compound whimsies (multiple piece peacocks)! The printing quality is good. Edges are clean and crisp. There are several pieces that you will need to be VERY careful placing and removing so you don’t break the tiny edges. They are worth the work and part of what made this puzzle great. The pieces interlock so it is a true puzzle, not colored wood pieces hanging out near each other, but disconnected (as appears to be norm on imported puzzles). Oh, and there are actual edge pieces, bordered with white which will help newbies a lot. I am no videographer, but have a video showing close ups of whimsies and how nice the puzzle is. I hope this helps you spend your puzzle funds wisely. HIGHLY recommend this brand, and hope they put out more puzzles of same quality!Weiterlesen

Beautiful Puzzle
In January 2021, I ordered my first small wooden puzzle with uniquely-shaped pieces. I fell in love with it and I am now completely obsessed with this style of puzzle. I've now expanded my collection to over 200, with even more on the way. It is difficult to describe the quality of this puzzle without actually handling the pieces yourself. They are constructed from a strong, thick wood and the paint job is impeccable. The puzzle includes a nice selection of "recognizable" custom pieces. The puzzle itself is quite small, but it is about average for puzzles of this style, and it is far more challenging than you would expect for a 280-piece puzzle. Puzzles with uniquely-shaped pieces are actually more difficult than traditional puzzles. That being said, it is still only 280 pieces, so it isn't much of a challenge and only takes only a few hours to complete. I would allot as much time as it would normally take you to work a 450 piece puzzle. I ordered this puzzle for its beauty and not the challenge of completing it. It is important to understand that this type of puzzle does not always have interlocking pieces. With some puzzles of this style, the pieces fit together in very unusual ways and you need to place each piece with great precision. It takes a very steady hand for puzzles like this to not fall apart while you are trying to assemble them, and it is not possible to move the puzzle once completed without destroying it. With other puzzles of this style, you don't need quite as steady of a hand and the puzzles can be carefully moved/slid across a table without completely falling apart. This puzzle falls into the latter category. While it does occasionally require a steady hand during the assembly, it holds its shape well once complete. This style of puzzle is normally packaged in a beautiful wooden box, but this one comes in just a nice quality cardboard box. No bag is included to store the pieces. I removed the puzzle from the box and I'm storing it in a glass jar with a bamboo lid, so that it matches my other puzzles. I print out a photo of each puzzle I complete and glue it to the lid of a jar, then add a coat of shellac over the top to seal it. I do this so that I can display all of my small wooden puzzles in a uniform manner. I will be adding to this collection very soon!Weiterlesen

Overpriced
I really don't understand how they can justify the price tag on this, at the time of my review it's £68.99 which surely is a mistake? Don't get me wrong..... It's a nice jigsaw puzzle, it's made from wood not cardboard... The pieces are unusual irregular shapes and the picture is nice..... But there are many similar puzzles for half the price, the box design Is more fitting for a nursery product however the age is aimed at 14 and above, it would make a lovely present but doesn't warrent the price tag, it's only a 250 piece and not that largeWeiterlesen
