Great fun

Your daily reminder of "Buyer Beware"

Glad to have finally gotten this game, and can't wait to play. The game itself from what I've seen was plenty fun when trying with others, so thought I would get it myself as well. The rating isn't for the game itself - personally, I would give the game 5/5, I enjoy all sorts of things about it. My rating is more about the way I had received my copy of the game. Let me explain... I was under the assumption that my game would be brand new, nothing specified on the buying page (on mobile anyhow, can't speak for the webpage version) that I would have received a new copy. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I had received the box in a big plastic bag rather than the box being in the usual cellophane wrapping you'd expect it to be in, which I found was a little odd, but I figured it was just an odd one-off. Buuut nope, it was a used copy. Opened the box and the small tokens and cards were everywhere in the box, which I assume wasn't helped at all by shipping. I continued looking through and I could guarantee it was used because I had found a used crew log sheet left by the previous owner. Well, certainly didn't seem like they got through much of the campaign considering they only had their crew names on it. Receiving the game in this state surely made me feel like a "Dummy Mcgee" for thinking I would get all my games from Amazon in a new condition, that's for sure. Fortunately, all of the other components were there (and the previous owner had done most of the card organizing for me, so if the people of Project Failure see this, thank you!), and after reorganizing and bagging all of the rest of the components, we're finally ready for our first play. All of this to say, buyer beware when buying on Amazon, otherwise you'll be let down by your unfulfilled expectations! Let this be lesson learned.Weiterlesen
