We bought this adorable set for our little girl’s second birthday, and I pulled everything out of the box today just to make sure we got all the pieces. Everything was there and in great condition! I can’t get over how cute this set is! The set includes a wooden stand mixer, wooden pat of butter, Wooden rolling pin with finished handles and sanded middle rolling piece, felt piece of rolled out cookie dough, two plastic cookies (one circle and one heart), a small plastic tray that just fits the two cookies (We’ll probably use it as a butter dish.), a brown plastic egg shell that fits together and has cute zigzagged edges, a plastic hard boiled egg that cuts in half and sticks together with hook and loop, a plastic mixing bowl, and two little pillows for bags of sugar and flour. I would guess the flour and sugar are maybe a little bigger than 3X3 inches each. They are each labeled and easy to read. This mixer is super cute! The top tips back so you can add ingredients to the bowl. When it’s up, the back of the top of the mixer rests on a dowel on the back of the mixer. When you put the top of the mixer bak down so the beater is in the mixing bowl, you can use the knob on top to spin the beater. The knob itself doesn’t turn—you use it more as a handle to turn the whole front circle of the mixer to which the beater is permanently attached. It spins easily and smoothly. There is another knob on the side of the base of the mixer that can turn. It clicks when you turn it, and it takes a little more strength to turn. It’s not terribly difficult though. I think my little girl could turn it just fine. On a real mixer, this knob would be used to adjust the speed of the beater. The plastic pieces in this set seem like they are really good quality. I think they will hold up just fine to regular toddler play. The only pieces I’m a little concerned about are the cookies. The plastic they are made from has a little give to it. They have little holes in them though to let air in and out and go right back to their normal shape. I like the texture of the cookies though. It reminds me of real sugar cookies as much as a plastic cookie can. We usually buy Learning Resources or Melissa & Doug play food, so I think that’s why the cookies feel a little less substantial to me. They aren’t quite that same quality, but I think they will hold up well enough. The rolling pin actually rolls, which I love! The handles are beautifully finished, and the middle is sanded and feels similar to the texture of a new wooden spoon. Another reviewer mentioned that their kids used it with playdoh and got the dough stuck in the wood of the middle part. I could totally see that happening. If you want to be able to use this with playdoh, you could finish it with some kind of oil or even stain. I love it the way it is though! The egg is adorable! It’s not typically what you see with play crackable eggs. Usually there’s a foldable piece that fits back into the eggshell. The hard boiled egg in this set fits perfectly in the shell though, and I can see my little girl using it in lots of different play scenarios. The packaging of this set is amazing as well! The flour, sugar, and rolling pin come in one zip top bag together with the rolling pin wrapped in tissue paper. The mixer is in a bubble wrap sleeve with the mixing bowl under the beater in its normal place. Inside the bowl is a little bag containing the brown eggshell with the hard boiled egg inside, the pat of butter, two cookies, and the small tray. The piece of felt dough was loose in our box, but it didn’t seem any worse for wear for not being inside plastic. Tiny Land even included a sweet card in the box, thanking us for our purchase and telling us how to get in touch with customer service if we were unhappy with their product for any reason. They have a motto on the card that says, “Your satisfaction is our motivation.” I loved that! We are super happy!
