Escape from Tatooine not Docking Bay but still great!!

Another fantastic figure by Disney and Jakks. Goes well with my 50 or so other 18 inch star wars figures. Another reviewer touched on the subject of just how hard it is to get these figures that are from the "goodie" camp and I must agree with him but more to the point where are the female figures? In my not small collection I only have 2 versions of Rey and one version of Jyn Erso. Come on Disney that is so obviously sexist!! Where are the figures for the major female characters in the movies such as Princess Leia (in more films than any other character) and Padme Amidala or Zam Wesell? With Carrie Fisher having died in the last few years I am gobsmacked that disney havent bought out a figure honouring her yet! Come on Disney get your act together! Weiterlesen

Glad to FINALLY find a figure of the main Star Wars hero in an age where the villians seem to get top billing.

Love this Luke Skywalker figure! He comes with a removable poncho and a lightsaber (in the closed position, no long sword included). I specifically hunted for a Luke Skywalker of this size to go with the multitude of Stormtrooper, Darth Vader and other villians my 5 year old son has. I find that Disney is OVER promoting the villians of this franchise. You see numerous images of Darth Vader or Stormtroopers on shirts, socks, soap, toys, candy etc. You also see the majority of the Star Wars imagery in the department stores marketing showing the villians of the series. My son constantly says he doesn't want the "bad guy" and then I look for the MAIN hero of this series and it's very hard to find Luke on shirts, soap, candy, toys, etc. Not to mention Han Solo, Lando, and other good guys. I hope Disney changes this in the near future. It's especially important for younger kids who are at the point in their lives when you are trying to teach them good versus bad behavior.
