This is a great box for all Pokemon TCG Fans and collectors, and for well... obvious reasons. Firstly, lets get the basics out of the way, the two day shipping was on time as usual, and the box was in a larger box with the air padding. The box was not damaged, so the shipping and everything else turned out alright. Also, for those trying to distinguish between the fakes cards and real cards, or the Third-Party packs/boxes vs. Official Pokemon boxes, this is the real deal. This is an official Pokemon Company box, so it is not set up by a third party, and the box is 'factory fresh' or so I like to think. Anyways, it's whats in the box that counts. You will get four promo holo/foil cards,an over-sized Mega Lucario Ex, and a spirit link. Each of the four promo cards are textured, which is a very nice feature to have, and gives the card an innate feeling of value/rarity. Textured cards are always preferred, one, because they look fantastic, and two because it implies some sort of additional rarity or value, as I had already stated. The promo cards that you will get are static, I believe, so the promos do not vary from box to box. So they will be as follows: 1) Zygarde EX 2) Jolteon EX 3) Mega Manectric EX 4) Mega Lucario EX * Along with a spirit link (Manectric?) and oversized mega Lucario. You will also get 8 packs, with each pack being unique/no duplicate packs. These packs are mostly from the past couple years, all XY. They are as follows: 1) Evolutions 2) Ancient Origins 3) Roaring Skies 4) Primal Clash 5) Fates Collide 6) Breakpoint 7) Breakthrough 8) Steam Siege These are all good packs, and with getting a different pack for all 8, you almost** guarantee you won't get many duplicates. This will also give you the chance to discover a larger variety of cares, both rare, uncommon, and common. Most people reading this review will probably understand, and know about what I am writing, so I will try to explain what makes this specifically a good deal. The price. You are getting a lot of good packs, a good mega/ex's for a very, very good price. The price at the time I bought this was around $54 Canadian, and that may change. Compare the price ($54) to somewhere online or Walmart even, and you'll probably see that other sites list this box around $79.99. This is $26 cheaper already, and since Amazon offers free shipping to prime members, you will end up saving a bit over $26 when comparing prices. Perhaps you may think buying individuals packs would be preferable, and if you would rather choose your specific packs, then that would probably be a better idea. But if you take the average cost of a pack, $6, and multiply it by 8 (# of packs in this box), then it would come out to about $48. So, its cheaper to get 8 packs individually, rather than buying this box, by about $6 (54-48). But when you take into consideration the four EX promos, you are paying about a $6 premium on the box for those promos, and that's not a bad deal at all. So when you break it down, it is a good deal, plenty of packs to satisfy your appetite for excitement when opening packs, and a handful of good EX cards, so you are satisfied even if you don't pull that Mega Rayquaza you wanted from Roaring Skies. Maybe the math came out a little jumbled in my review, but you can do the simple math yourself, I'm sure you'll find it calculates to be a good deal for a great box. Weiterlesen
