So much fun to do with 8 year old kid!

I had a blast doing this with my 8 year old son. I was worried it would be too hard for him, but it was perfect. He was able to push out the pieces and snap them together and was laser focused in on this for the full 90 minutes it took to build it. Once we had it built, it was a lot of fun setting up targets across the house and seeing how far we could shoot from. We got up to about 25 feet away and could have gone further. Also, it looks really cool so even when we're not playing with it, my son likes having it out in his room to look at on his dresser. Highly recommend!En lire plus

So nearly perfect

I have made many of these models and this is the first I have made from EWA. I was very impressed with the quality of the wood and the instructions are very clear which means they tick the foundations of what these types of products need. Overall the product has a decent strength to it which I find it rare as often they can seem quite fragile. I say this whilst knowing they are, of course made of wood but this one has some decent backbone to it to make it stand out Where it falls short is the elastic band instructions. For those making this I found that if you double the elastic band at the trigger you get the tension needed. For the tension when pulling the arm back I looped four elastic bands together and put the wooden parts upside down to the instructions as this keeps them more in place. Finally the elastic band going in the middle seems largely superfluous. Also I didn't seem to get a projectile which I can see was present in the promotional ad I saw online. It fires balls of paper just fine though to be honest. So in summary this product would've been great if this last step was better explained. Enjoy having a go but beware, it can fire things pretty far!En lire plus
