Cool figure, awkward accessory

I really like the design of the figure itself--it's based off the costume design from the movie, and is an identical sculpt to a couple other figure variants, but in a very cool desert-themed motif. It has the same general articulation design as the other early Avengers-branded lines--which is to say that posing the legs is awkward due to the hip design, but otherwise he's got a lot of joints and good range of motion in most of them. He includes a pistol (which fits into a holster on his right thigh), a removable helmet, and an oversized shield with "blades" that retract. The shield has a dual-purpose clip that allows it to be attached to the figure's wrist, or worn on his back like a backpack. The shield is the weak point of the figure; it's very big, which makes it difficult to balance the figure while it's attached. Also, the clip that holds the shield to the figure's wrist doesn't keep it in place very well; the figure's wrist is a bit too large for the clip, and the clip will eventually come loose and the shield tends to fall off. The clip is made out of pliable plastic, so it doesn't seem susceptible to breakage, but this is a possibility from long-term use. It would be nice if the figure included a "regular" shield, but there's plenty of them included with other Cap figures, so you can just borrow one from one of those if you don't like the shield included.

Vraiment pas terrible

Mon fils, fan de super héros, avait commandé au père noël tous les personnages avengers, dont ce Captain america. Lui, il est plutôt content parce qu'il a tous les héros qu'il voulait, mais ce personnage a moult défauts : - il est tout petit, 15 centimètres au mieux (on est loin des 16 pouces annoncés !) - la finition est bâclée (en gros, il ne ressemble à rien) - le bouclier ne tient pas, il faut faire preuve d'une dextérité que ne possède pas mon fils pour pouvoir accrocher le bouclier sans qu'il ne tombe par terre toutes les 3 secondes.

Another great Cap figure!

This is a great figure, which I would place right up there with Jungle Cap as far as how impressive it is in hand. Paint apps are good and the figure looks great in hand, but oh my... We once again get a bogus gimmick shield, which forced me to go get a cheapo Cap to get a replacement shield. However, that's the only complaint I've got about this one.
